Halloween & School Festival

You think the Japanese don´t celebrate Halloween? Think again!
People had a lot of cool costumes, but for some reason those who went to the Halloween party can´t go to the upcoming Christmas party. That´s OK though, I´d rather dress up than sing outdated Xmas carols haha

Ibiza DJ, nice pinay girls and an undead guy

What you lookin´ at?

My classmate, who actually won the "most creative costume" award

Recently we celebrated the Josai International University school festival. It was filled with delicious international food and top class entertainment acts.

Tribal dance

Represent where you´re from! The filipinos made chicken adobo, ang sarap!!!!!! And also, turon, which is at least equally masarap!

The Norwegians made the "norwegian" dish called waffles. It tasted really good with strawberry jam and Norwegian goat cheese

Some sort of Korean animal on the right haha. The koreans food was super tasty!

Two of my classmates keepin´it trill

This is the main stage. A lot of crazy stuff happened here.

A band called Igirisujin or イギリス人. Their music was really catchy, but it kinda reminded me of D.D.E. from Norway, and that´s just scary. The crowd went mad though

A lot of talented dancers

More freshly dressed Koreans

Recently I stepped on rice again, so I have no choice but to post this video

Togane exploring

So we went biking around in Togane to see if there was anything else to explore, and wouldn´t you know, we stumbled across two shrines and a graveyard!

1st shrine was found on top of a hill in the woods

Japanese graveyard. Looked different from the western tombstones I´m used to

Looks like a nice place to rest

I´m not sure, but I think these might be family graves. What do you think?

What´s this?

Oh yeah, we found a really cool tree, and it was begging to be climbed!

Neat little lake in the background. Or maybe not a lake, but water at least

This is a high school I think. Yet again, awesome trees

Looking for Yoshimitsu from the Tekken PlayStation games

Make a wish and put it up here

Maybe it´ll be granted

This spider close to the shrine was really big, don´t know if this picture can properly display its size

The 2nd shrine had a guardian dragon

The 3rd shrine was kind of small. Actually, that might not be a shrine

"Typhoon"

Typhoon Melor hit Japan yesterday! Damages were massive; supposedly a lot of trucks and even a train tipped over. Here in Togane however it wasn´t really that bad. School got cancelled though, but actually it was sunny and really hot outside, just a lot of wind. In lack of anything else to do I took pics of some fallen bikes some sword posing.

"New victory temple"

So last Saturday the international students went to the Narita-san temple, a Shingon Buddhist temple in Narita, Chiba. Awesome site, awesome temple! It was raining cats and hounds, but the constructions were too cool to let anything else ruin the experience. It was actually founded in the year 940, quite a while ago!

I managed to take a few pictures before my camera batteries perished
That´s just the gate, not the main temple.

Not a balloon I think

Blocking the view of the impressive old construction.

Then my camera died, so go here to read and see more pictures: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narita-san

Finally two random pictures from our new hometown

School ceremony rocks!

Two days ago we had a matriculation ceremony at school. We bowed a lot and applauded a lot, so it was cool! Even cooler was getting to stand next to the school mascot whale after the ceremony! I shall never forget

Filipino flags always make me happy. Those alien signs read "Josai International University"

Yesterday we went bike riding to the nearest shrine about 25 minutes from home. I was expecting something really giant, but from the main road it looked like a little house or a garage. It was nice though, not something you see everyday.

Bells, yay!

View of our little town from the shrine. Its flatness never ceases to amaze me

Pinoys in the hous...uh... in front of the shrine!!!!!!!

Rice cracker wearing stolen (by accident) shades. Will return to their rightful owner tomorrow at school.

Awesome house closeby

Awesome mating even closerby

This is awesome too, right? Last awesome picture for now. Chilleeeer`n!
